A monthly series showcasing an up close and personal sit down with Toronto FC players. Maria Papadakis is joined by the players at various hot spots in Toronto, as chosen by the athlete. The casual conversation-style brings out the personality of each player as they chat about topics both on and off the pitch. The players divulge their earliest memories of soccer up to and including being a part of an historic season with a championship team, as well as their love for the city and what life is like as a soccer player in Toronto.

Episode 1

Get to know Nicolas Hasler in the debut episode of We Are TFC. Joined by Maria Papadakis at Fika Café, Nico chats about his love of Toronto and his favorite spots in the city. He relives his early soccer memories, his first goal in a TFC kit, and winning the MLS Cup Championship with his teammates. 

Episode 2

Get to know Gregory van der Wiel as he joins Maria Papadakis at the Rec Room on this episode of We are TFC. Gregory shows off his gaming skills, talks about life in Toronto and becoming a dad, and cultural differences in soccer around the globe. He expresses his passions and interests off the pitch, such as business, fashion, and music.

Episode 3

Have a slice with Toronto native Ashtone Morgan as he joins Maria Papadakis at Bitondo Pizzeria. Ashtone shares his journey and experiences as the longest standing member of Toronto FC, as the team sets up to win their seventh and third consecutive Canadian Championship title. Get to know Ashtone off the field through his passions in style, fashion, music, and classic Toronto culture.

Episode 4

Maria Papadakis joins Defender Drew moor and his family in his Toronto home. Drew shares his experiences, passion for the sport and his unconditional love for his wife, Shelby and two sons. Get to know Drew as a father, athlete and husband on and off the pitch. 

Episode 5

Jump into the every day life of a professional athlete as Maria Papadakis joins Forward Jonathan Osorio as he gets his token haircut at Thorpe Barbershop and has a nice family meal with his grandparents. Jonathan shares his experiences, passion for the sport and his upbringing. Get to know Jonathan as a man, athlete and grandson on and off the pitch.
