Following 6 highly anticipated episodes of CTV’s landmark series THE LAUNCH, the chosen artists from each episode (6 in total) will have been swept away into the whirlwind marketing, PR and music production machine of CTV and Big Machine Records. Their singles will be all over the radio and Canada will know their faces well. We capture their excitement and talent as they perform two songs they used to audition for Scott Borchetta and other celebrity judges – an original song, and a cover hit – and their new single, performed for the first time ever as “chosen Artist” in front of an audience! Companion edits give us a glimpse into the home lives of the chosen artists, and feature outtakes from The Launch that never made it to air. We also get a peek into the PR machine that has made these individuals famous literally overnight.

Episode 1

We celebrate The Launch’s first chosen artist, Logan Staats! He joins Chloe Wilde in studio to perform three songs including “The Lucky Ones.” We also visit Logan’s home town of Six Nations Of The Grand River and spend time with the Chief. Also, outtakes of the one-on-one mentor sessions with Shania Twain & busbee including a special message from the legendary Scott Borchetta.

“Ain’t Easy”; outtakes from celeb mentors Ryan Tedder & Jennifer Nettles; hosted by Liz Trinnear.

Episode 3

The newly launched rock and roll trio The Static Shift perform three song including their new hit single, ‘Wide Awake.’ We head home to Calgary with 19-year-olds Mitchell, Keone, and Isaiah to see where they first met, plus, we show you a never-before-seen pep talk with mentor and superstar Nikki Sixx. Hosted by Chloe Wilde.

Episode 4

Chosen Artist POESY impresses the audience with epic renditions of her new song “Soldier Of Love,” Sia’s “The Greatest” and original song “To The Lighthouse.” POESY also takes us back home to Ancaster, Ontario where her musical dreams began, and we see exclusive footage of Scott Borchetta and Stephan Moccio in studio as they record the latest #1 hit from The Launch.

Episode 5

The latest Chosen Artist, Jayd Ink, performs three songs including her new hit single, “Codes.” Plus, exclusive extras from her mentor sessions with Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Julia Michaels, music mogul Scott Borchetta and hitmaker Ian Kirkpatrick. Also, an intimate visit to her hometown of Toronto, Ontario.

In the Dead of Winter

In the Dead of Winter festival is an acoustic-based festival held annually in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on the last weekend of January. The festival brings together a variety of musicians to showcase the diversity of acoustic music in the Atlantic Region. IDOW not only celebrate the excellence of our musicians but also provides venues for artists who have not yet had the opportunity to perform their music to a wider audience.

TORUK – The First Flight

Cirque du Soleil presents the cinematographic adaptation of TORUK – The First Flight, a multimedia experience inspired by James Cameron’s Avatar and imagined by Cirque du Soleil. Filmed in Montreal in December 2015 at the worldwide premiere.
